This test is unlike most Duel Academies that you have probably joined. This test consists of 3 parts, make sure you read this before you ask tester to test you. The test consists of three very simple parts which I will break down for you.
Part 1 is the dueling portion of the exam. It consists of basic things. You are allowed to choose any deck of your liking. Only decks that are banned are OTK/FTK, Mill, Stall, Burn, Exodia. Everything else is allowed.
You must play a 2/3 match against the tester with the deck you have just made. The tester will ask the tested 2 rulings questions after the match. Any big mistakes in game will be penalized as shown below.
The tester will post the following under "Test Results" section:
I used (your deck) vs his/her (their deck)
Deck Construction: ?/20
(How well it all flowed together as a deck)
Dueling Skills: ?/25
(How well the person being tested played overall. Ex: Knowledge, Sportsmanship, how well he/she countered you, getting out of tough spots)
Deck Size: ?/5
(40-42 Cards = 5/5, 43-46 = 3/5, 47-50 = 1/5, 51-60 = 0/5)
Ruling Knowledge: ?/10
(Basic ruling mistakes and knowledge of cards, Each mistake is -2 points)

( Give a score based on what you saw about if their deck was creative/original or if it was just like the rest)
Total Score: ?/100
Give a suggestion or something that you liked or disliked about the duel
Part 2 consists of the Rulings portion of the test, after the duel your tester will PM you the ruling essays. If you have to leave after duel PLEASE TELL YOUR TESTER. Otherwise you will fail this portion of the test. You will have 45 minutes to answer 2-4 ruling questions. They will be difficult and will require a lot of knowledge. So make sure that you dont write a sentence or so because you will lose a lot of points.
Question 1: ?/20
Answer properly? Does not need perfect grammar or any grammar just needs to show they have a clear understanding of the question.
Question 2: ?/20

Question 3: ?/10

Question 4: ?/0
Answer properly? Does not need perfect grammar or any grammar just needs to show they have a clear understanding of the question.
Total Score: ?/50
The questions are in random order so you dont know which one will not be graded. One question will be used to see the level of difficulty of the question. You will NOT KNOW which question is which. Even if they are numbered please remember only judges and testers know which question is which.
Part 3 and the last part is the Deck construction, this is where the tester will give you an archetype and you are required to build a deck in 30 minutes for them. Side and Extra all must be included. Here is the basic rubric that testers use.
Main Deck: ?/20
Does it have the things to support that archetype or are some cards thrown in there at random. How many cards does it have? Does the card limit exceed 42? (Points off for that)
Side Deck: ?/10
How well is the side deck. Are there actually good cards or is it noobish. (Tester must explain this in detail and what can be improved)
Extra Deck: ?/10
Does the extra deck follow main deck? Are there cards that can make it a better extra deck? Do you see something unique you want to point out?
Is there extra deck filled?
A Picture AND Deck: ?/10
Must have both picture and deck sent to judge. Judge MUST CONFIRM that Deck list was sent
Total Points: ?/200
Dorm Placement
180-200 Obelisk Blue
160-179 Ra Yellow
159 below Slifer Red
Note: The dorm points can increase anytime.
While you duel make sure to tell your tester that you need to have a judge watching otherwise there might be some issues with the points in the grading.
Judges have more say in duel testing than the tester does.
